The Homecoming Comedy Show will feature Ali Wong doing stand-up comedy, reading excerpts from her upcoming book, and answering questions from the audience.
This event will take place on Thursday, October 11, 2018 in Ritchie Coliseum. There will be two shows, one at 7 p.m. and one at 10 p.m.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and close at 8 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show. Doors will open at 9:15 p.m. and close at 11 p.m. for the 10 p.m. show. You may start lining up at 5 p.m. for the 7 p.m. show and at 8:15 p.m. for the 10 p.m. show.
Seating is first come, first serve.
Tickets will go on sale Thursday, September 13 at 12 p.m. and will be available at umdtickets.com
and in person at the Stamp Ticket Office in Adele H. Stamp Student Union. Tickets are $10 with a valid UMD ID. Tickets for alumni and guests of the UMD community are $25.
There is no reselling, transferring, or exchanging of tickets. Posts selling tickets will be deleted and students will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct.
This year’s Homecoming Comedy Show will feature actress, stand-up comedienne, and writer Ali Wong! Wong has two Netflix stand-up specials, “Baby Cobra” and “Hard Knock Wife.”
NO bags larger than a 5x7 clutch will be allowed in the facility. There will be wanding and bag check for those small bags at the door. We will not be providing a storage space.
There will be NO cellphones, cameras, or recording devices allowed at this event. When guests arrive, all phones and smart watches will be secured in a Yondr case that will be unlocked at the end of the event. Guests will keep their phones in the cases with them throughout the night, and if needed, they may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations. Anyone caught with a phone past this point will be asked to leave.
